There are three (3) different types of collagen and each has its own role to play.

Over 90% of collagen in the body is Type 1 and it is good for the formation and repair of the skin, hair, nails, organs, bones, and ligaments.

Type 2 are good for the formation and repair of the cartilage, and Type 3 applies to fibrous protein in bone, cartilage, dentin, tendon, and other connective tissues.
